Have your windows fitted by experts here in beautiful Cornwall..... Free courtesy car usually available

All our fitting is covered by our LifeTime Guarantee, backed up by our Service and Product Indemnity Insurance unlike some of our rivals who work part-time with no insurance or qualifications. In the unlikely event that we cease trading, you would still have recourse to compensation as the law requires us to keep our insurance details for many years. So many people are now setting up in the van conversion business that businesses seem to appear and disappear on a daily basis. We are not the cheapest and do not pretend to be, we try to offer 'value-for-money' as opposed to 'cheap' and respectfully request that if you are looking for a cheap job that you look elsewhere, our technicians like to sleep at night and absolutely will not compromise the safety of you or your passengers on price, our motto is "If I wouldn't put my kids in it - I would rather not do the job" (a standard which has cost us dearly on many occasions)

All our senior technicians are fully NVQ qualified to level 2 or 3 issued by the Glass & Glazing Federation and have at least 25 years each in the installation of bonded windows, we have not simply progressed from fitting the traditional rubber fit windows as they became more popular…… we have always specialised in bonded glass and pride ourselves in knowing all there is to know about this type of installation. If your windows are fitted incorrectly the results could be catastrophic, at the very least your windows would leak, at worst they could fly off at speed or in the event of an accident, here are some facts about Bonded or Direct Glazed windows:

  1. If the incorrect primers are used (or none at all), you will get a reasonable 'mechanical' bond for a short period of time BUT you will not get the 'Chemical Bond' required for the window to become a permanent part of the vehicle's structure.
  2. Even a greasy fingerprint on a prepared surface could cause, and has caused fatal, catastrophic failures, latex gloves should ALWAYS be used and replaced during the fitting if contaminated, there is a well documented story of a lady in the United States that became paralysed after an accident where the glass popped out in an accident, causing the roof to collapse, investigations later found that the cause was a greasy fingerprint left on the glass after the technician ate a doughnut just before fitting with no protective gloves....... expensive doughnut?
  3. So-called 'primerless' bonding materials should only be used if you can be 100% sure that the black banding on the glass is UV proof (almost all are not in our experience), the sun's Ultra Violet Rays can break down the Urethane over a period of time, don't risk safety for the price of a pot of primer and an extra 15 minutes drying time.
  4. Galvanised bodies such as Volkswagen, Audi, Jaguar, Mercedes and many others require a Non-Conductive adhesive, if the incorrect material is used it could cause a bizzare chemical reaction and corrosion in the whole of your vehicle's bodywork.
  5. Another reason for using Non-Conductive Urethane is electrical interferance, the static build up can cause interferance on your radio, sat-nav, mobile phone or other electrical equipment, glass with built-in heating elements or antenna are particularly susceptible

Important information on our previously advertised Mobile Fitting Service

After much consideration we have taken the descision to abandon this service. All our fitting is currently underwritten by our insurer's and we carry £10,000,000 Product & Service Indemnity Cover, because of the difficulty in extending this policy to include a mobile fitting service it has become extremely unviable. Unlike some of our competitors we are not prepared to take any sort of risk with your safety.

We will, of course, still be more than happy to carry out fitting at our workshop - safe in the knowledge that your pride and joy is fully covered.
