These windows are part of our exclusive, newly designed range and differ in the following ways: 1. The catch is redesigned and sits at the bottom of the glass as opposed to the centre and locks into a metal bar in either the open or closed positions. 2. The opening section is at the FRONT of the window in the same style as the Genuine VW windows. 3. There is a rubber seal between the inner and outer panes to reduce draughts and helps to keep the water out. 4. Drain holes are more discreet, two small slots below the sliding pane only.
These windows are purpose made for a 'VAN CONVERSION' as opposed to being a VW Caravelle window, they differ in that the black ceramic band on our windows is larger to conceal the bodywork underneath. Another difference is the smaller inner framework meaning that, not only are they less intrusive into the interior of the vehicle, they are much easier to fit than the Caravelle windows in that you do not have to cut into the box section of the van/door, maintaining the structural integrity of the van.
Due to the design, they do not suffer the same leak problem as the genuine VW sliding windows (Google search returned 49,000 results for "T5 window leak" 29/7/09) All our windows and fitting carry our usual five year guarantee.
